Eintracht Frankfurt have seen a troubled trip to Leverkusen and a 4-0 Bundesliga loss to Bayer over the weekend, hosting Basel desperate to bounce quickly and pick it up through Europa League. They have been more confident in front of the home fans and Adi Hutter will be aware a lot will depend on their ability to earn a lead on Thursday.

Indeed, Eagles struggled to turn away games their way but still managed five wins in six outings at Commerzbank-Arena and only saw Union Berlin (1-2) snatch the points along the way. They’ve been scoring numbers of goals in the process as well and we’re now hoping for a confident display once again.

Basel have picked it up since early February but have a long way to go in repairing the damages, sitting five points behind Super League pace-setters St Gallen and 2nd placed Young Boys. They beat APOEL (4-0 on aggregate) with great confidence but will be in for much more of a challenge on the day.

Bebbi thus bagged three wins in the last five outings and suffered a narrow loss to Thun along the way. They have had more trouble putting on such stable and consistent displays at the back when away from home and we feel this will be emphasized in Frankfurt as well, which has few believing the visitors have what it takes for an upset.
