Eastleigh vs Crewe Alexandra Match Preview
Eastleigh have proven themselves very tough to beat lately and host Crewe Alexandra in hope they can prove the same, hosting the clash on the back of a five-match unbeaten streak and boasting great records in front of the home fans over the past month. They still have a lot to prove against the League Two rivals but Ben Strevens surely looks to build on solid performances of recent.
Spitfires needed return games at Silverlake Stadium to make it past Welling United (4-2) and Stourbridge (3-0) in FA Cup already and we’ve seen them build on it with similarly thrilling wins over Harrogate (4-2) and Torquay United (3-2) most recently. They’ve been scoring numbers of goals on the regular and we expect a strong challenge indeed.
Crewe Alexandra come into the match as betting favourites to win but they have just as much to prove we feel, with an unpredictable spell of results behind them. They’ve seen a goalless draw at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday as they failed to build on a thrashing 5-0 win over Morecambe at home ground just last week.
Railwaymen have seen such struggles for stability on the road prove costly beforehand too, seeing Northampton (4-1) bag the points with three goals conceded in the first 25 minutes. They will now want more in hope that they can outclass the lower-division rivals but we expect a strong challenge at Silverlake.
We will thus back in-form Eastleigh to make it interesting and at least take this one into the return match, as we go for a Double Chance – Home win or Draw at 17/20 with William Hill which seems like a solid approach to the fixture.
We do expect goals and we expect them on both ends as we also go for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 7/10 with William Hill. We’ve seen both sides scoring and conceding on the regular and we now hope for more of the same.
