Dynamo Kiev vs Chelsea Match Preview
Chelsea have bagged a convincing home win over Dynamo in the first leg and now travel to Kiev hoping to put on a similar display in search of a ticket to the Europa League Quarter-finals on the back of it, despite struggles for consistency on the road seen along the way.
Indeed, Blues have also beaten Tottenham Hotspur (2-0) and Fulham (1-2) beforehand and although they’ve been denied points in a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton, last-minute equalizer from Eden Hazard still extended a four-match unbeaten streak across competitions.
They will now want to keep it up and cause an upset at NSK Olimpijs’kyj, where Dynamo Kiev struggled for consistency just as much – despite bagging four wins in five outings since mid-February and picking up their team spirits with success across competitions.
Alyaksandr Khatskevich’s men have beaten Arsenal Kyiv (4-0) over the weekend and built on league wins over Zorya (5-0) and Desna (1-2) as well as Europa League success against Olympiakos (3-2 aggregate win). We thus expect them very motivated once again but showing off against the Premier League rivals will be no easier task.
We will thus stick our necks out for Chelsea to secure a ticket to the Quarter-finals with another confident display against the rivals and we’ll go for an Away win at 6/5 with bet365, which seems great value at this point.
However, we expect a more thrilling contest this time around and we do see Dynamo finding the net as well, which has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 10/11 with Paddy Power – hoping to see them capitalize on the Blues’ struggles for stability.
