Doncaster vs Peterborough Match Preview
Doncaster host Peterborough after seeing two troubled performances over the past seven days, looking to bounce back to the winning ways and their rather confident streak in front of the home fans – where they enjoyed great goalscoring records and bagged four consecutive wins across competitions since mid-August
Donny have seen their streak ended, though, and will now have to recuperate quickly. They’ve seen a goalless draw at Ipswich on Saturday and a 0-1 home loss to Blackpool on Tuesday, where Armand Gnanduillet netted a last-gasp winner and disappointed the Keepmoat. They’ll now hope for more and we expect them motivated to end the goalscoring drought.
Peterborough have connected a great winning streak of their own but also saw it ended earlier this week, as Tranmere Rovers completed a comeback and held them to a 2-2 draw on Tuesday. They’ve kept up their goalscoring records but still slipped up defensively, which will give Darren Ferguson a task to lift their team spirits.
Posh have beaten Southend (0-2), MK Dons (0-4), Sunderland (3-0), Northampton (0-2 in EFL Trophy), and Rochdale (6-0) beforehand, with a high total of 17 goals scored and none conceded along the way. They will now hope to bounce to such a streak and keep up with the top of the table, promising a strong challenge.
Still, we’ll stick our necks out for Doncaster to hold them off and for the sides to share the spoils in a Draw priced at 5/2 with Unibet, which has already caught the eye of many in the know as possibly the best value in the market at this point.
We do expect goals and we’ll go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 8/13 with bet365, having seen Peterborough enjoying such clashes on the regular and Doncaster seeing a similar streak ahead of the troubled goalscoring spell of results over the past week.
