Doncaster vs Lincoln Match Preview
Doncaster beat Fleetwood Town (3-2) with a last-minute winner and finally ended a seven-match winless streak since early in their pre-season campaign, now hosting Lincoln for their Matchday 5 clash in hope they can build on the last week’s success with important points at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Rovers have seen draws against Gillingham (1-1) and Rochdale (1-1) early in the new season and only followed up with a disappointing League Cup exit in the hands of Grimsby Town (1-0), where a single goal from Jordan Cook proved enough for them to drop their 2nd Round place to League Two rivals.
Lincoln will now hope to capitalize on such inconsistency and we’ve seen them in a good shape early in the new campaign, where they bagged nine points in first three outings but still saw the streak ended by MK Dons (2-1) earlier this week – where we saw three goals in the first 23 minutes.
Imps have beaten Accrington Stanley (2-0), Rotherham (0-2), and Southend (4-0) in three league outings beforehand and managed a narrow 0-1 League Cup win at Huddersfield, as they enjoyed a good spell at the back. Danny Cowley will now want more of the same despite seeing the series interrupted, which should have them motivated to impress.
We don’t feel they have what it takes to snatch all three points, though, and we’ll now rather stick our necks out for the sides to share the spoils in a Draw priced at 5/2 with William Hill – which has caught a lot of attention as a lively longshot.
We should see goals and we thus hope to see them on both ends, as we go for a Yes on Both teams to score at 7/10 with Coral, which feels like great value for those keeping faith both sides will get a point from the contest in South Yorkshire.
