Dijon vs Toulouse Match Preview
Dijon struggled to cope with a tough schedule on the road and now sit in the relegation zone ahead of the Final day of the campaign and clash against Toulouse, hoping for a slip-up from Caen – who host struggling Bordeaux on the day.
Mustards have thus seen a thrashing 4-0 loss at PSG last week, where two early goals from Angel Di Maria and Edinson Cavani determined the contest already. They have beaten Strasbourg (2-1) at Stade Gaston-Gerard beforehand and connected a two-match winning streak here, though, which should still have them motivated to perform.
Toulouse have, on the other end, seen a six-match winless streak since early April as they earned just three points but still secured top-flight survival – with a five-point gap to the 18th placed Caen. They’ve held off Lille (0-0), Rennes (2-2), and Amiens along the way but their good performances were mainly reserved for outings in front of the home fans.
Les Pitchouns have thus seen losses at Montpellier and St Etienne along the way too and the defensive performance in a 2-5 loss to Marseille will hardly be more of a confidence booster. They’ve been all over the place and Alain Casanova will need to find a quick fix.
We don’t see the visitors bouncing back, though, and we’ll now back Dijon to do their part on the final day of the campaign as we go for a Home win at 8/13 with bet365 – which feels much like buying money for old rope.
We have seen both sides scoring and conceding many goals lately and with that in mind, we now hope to see another high-scoring occasion and we’re backing Over 2.5 Goals FT at 8/11 with William Hill. This would be fifth such occasion in six outings for Dijon and third in four for Toulouse.
