Derby vs West Brom Match Preview
Derby saw their unbeaten start to the Championship season come to an end on Tuesday night as they went down 2-1 at home to Bristol City. It means they have five points from the first four games with one win, two draws and a defeat.
At Pride Park, the Rams lost the lowest number of home games of any side in the division last season going down just three times. They have though taken just one point from the two played here which also includes a goalless draw with Swansea.
West Brom needed an 88th minute Kenneth Zohore penalty to secure a point at home to Reading in a 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening. It continues an unbeaten start for the Midlands outfit that has seen them take eight points with two wins and two draws.
Away from the Hawthorns, the Baggies have won both their fixtures coming out on top at Luton and Nottingham Forest. Both these fixtures have ended in the same 2-1 scoreline with Grady Diangana netting twice on the road in the last match.
County are narrow favourites to win this match but they have not shown enough that you would want to be backing them especially against an Albion side who have won both road games this campaign. A better angle of attack is a couple of plays in the anytime goalscorer market. Charlie Austin was unlucky not to net in midweek and once he gets his first goal will not be going off so big again so take advantage while you can. Grady Diangana is also a class act at this level and having netted a brace in his road start we are surprised to find him going off so big here
