Derby began life under new boss Phillip Cocu with a 2-1 road success coming out on top away at Huddersfield. Tom Lawrence grabbed a brace for the East Midlands outfit though they were grateful to some wayward finishing from their opponents.

At Pride Park, the Rams lost the lowest number of home games of any side in the division going down just three times, winning 13 times and drawing seven. The 20 goals that they conceded gave them the third-best home defensive record.

Swansea started their campaign with a 2-1 home success over Hull coming back from behind to beat them 2-1. The Welsh outfit were deserved winners that day and picked up all three points thanks to a goal each from Borja Baston and Mike van der Hoorn.

Away from the Liberty Stadium, the Swans will need to improve on last season when they lost 23 of their matches played. A lack of goals on their travels was the major issue in 2018/19 with City netting just 23 times.

It is hard to argue with the prices on offer here which make the home side favourites to come out on top in this fixture. Swansea might be the slight value but after being poor on the road last season we would recommend waiting a few weeks before trusting them on the road.

A better angle of attack is to find some value in the anytime goalscorer markets with both teams showing attacking talents but still a little leaky at the back. Martyn Waghorn leads the Derby line and looked dangerous against Huddersfield and is taken to net here. Nathan Dyer also looked busy on the opening weekend without scoring and at bigger prices also offer some value.
