DC United vs Columbus Crew Match Preview
DC United have struggled to score goals on the regular and this resulted in a very unpredictable spell of form, where they failed to connect any two same results in over a month and the last week’s been nothing new to the story.
Black-and-Red thus host Columbus Crew for their Sunday’s clash looking to build on a 0-1 win snatched at MAPFRE Stadium but they’ve also seen a weekend loss at Minnesota United (1-0) and obviously need to recuperate in search of another return to the winning ways.
Columbus Crew have struggled to build on a very solid start of the new campaign of their own and travel to Audi Field with four consecutive losses behind them. Still, they find themselves just four points behind the 2nd placed rivals on Eastern Conference table and ending such a streak here would be a great pick-me-up.
Crew have seen struggles of their own in the final third as main man up from Gyasi Zardes had a great March but simply failed to show for it in April, as he and his teammates failed to find the net in three of the last four outings – beaten by Montreal Impact (1-0), Portland Timbers (1-3), and Houston Dynamo (2-0) along the way as well.
We will now back DC United to capitalize on such woes on the rivals’ end once again and we’ll go for a Home win here, which looks like great value at 21/20 with Paddy Power despite another narrow occasion between the sides expected.
We don’t feel we’re in for many goals on the day either as both sides struggled to impress in the final third, which also has us backing Under 2.5 Goals FT at 9/10 with bet365 – which caught our eye as a very generous pick at this point.
