The Czech Republic have only managed to reach the World Cup finals on once occasions since they began competing as an independent nation back in 1998. However, the European Championships have been more kind to them over the years and the Central Europeans have managed to qualify for each of the last six competitions which means that Friday’s 5-0 mauling at the hands of England will come as a cause for concern.
