Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur Match Preview
Tottenham are beset by absences of their star attacking players and look distinctly vulnerable in this FA Cup fourth-round tie.
Spurs were missing Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Heung-min Son for their Carabao Cup semi-final second-leg match against Chelsea on Thursday, while there were also doubts about Lucas Moura and Moussa Sissoko plus midfielder Victor Wanyama.
None of the first-named trio will be available against Palace and with the Chelsea game yet to have been played at the time of writing, it was possible there could have been further disruptions to manager Mauricio Pochettino’s selection options.
A last-gasp Harry Winks goal meant Spurs just about snatched victory at Fulham last weekend and on this season’s form, they are likely to find it more difficult at Palace.
The Eagles have been struggling to score goals at home and only scraped past Grimsby in the previous round, but they have been raising their game this term when facing the top clubs.
Obviously if Spurs have been knocked out by Chelsea on Thursday it will sharpen their focus for this test, but whatever happened at Stamford Bridge we will side with Palace to get the better of their depleted opponents.
