Crystal Palace vs Norwich City Match Preview
We correctly predicted Norwich would lose away to Burnley last weekend and their trip to Crystal Palace looks a similarly-sized task for these poor travellers.
At home, the Canaries have enjoyed a couple of excellent victories against Newcastle and, most notably, Manchester City, but that is all they have had to crow about (bird pun unintended) so far this season.
Otherwise it has been five defeats, including in all four games on the road, and Daniel Farke’s side conceded both goals, scored by Chris Wood, in their 2-0 loss at Burnley within the opening 14 minutes.
Moreover, Palace appear to be an improved team at home this term. They have been keeping things very tight at the back and were seconds away from making it four consecutive clean sheets on their own pitch when Diogo Jota equalised for Wolves last weekend.
Conceding that goal was a frustrating blow for the Eagles, but it was not the first time Wolves had snatched a point deep in stoppage time this season.
Apart from Norwich’s recent struggles away from home, they also have a poor head-to-head record against Palace, especially in south London, and we can see Roy Hodgson’s side making amends here for being denied victory so late on last week.
