Crystal Palace vs Brighton Match Preview
Crystal Palace have won twice as many games away than at home in the Premier League this term, but appear in good enough form to beat their fierce rivals Brighton at Selhurst Park.
Six victories on the road compare to just three on home soil for the Eagles, who have triumphed 4-1 at Leicester and 3-1 at Burnley on the previous couple of weekends.
Those results have pushed Roy Hodgson’s side away from relegation danger, but for Brighton there still has to be a nagging doubt about their top-flight safety despite last Saturday’s important 1-0 home success against Huddersfield.
The Seagulls have five points to spare over 18th-placed Cardiff and while recent results suggest the current bottom three will remain there until the end of the season, Brighton are not in a position to take anything for granted.
The worry for Chris Hughton’s side here is that they have collected only eight points from a possible 42 on their travels.
Quite simply, Palace should be feeling better about life just now as they push up towards the top half of the table and they are fancied to beat their fellow FA Cup quarter-finalists.
