Cowdenbeath vs Rangers Match Preview
Rangers travel to Cowdenbeath for their rescheduled FA Cup clash on Wednesday, looking to build on the 0-3 win over Livingston – which marked another return to the winning ways in a streak where they earned three wins in four outings with just a narrow 2-1 loss at Kilmarnock seen along the way.
Gers have been scoring goals on the road but we’ve also seen them conceding on the regular, which will have Steven Gerrard happy after the Sunday’s display at Tony Macaroni Arena. Many feel they should have no troubles building on it against the League Two outfit but the rivals will be very motivated.
Cowdenbeath were left unhappy with the pitch at Central Park deemed unplayable but even more worryingly, they’ve seen a two-match winning streak ended by Clyde (1-0) where a single goal from Ray Grant proved enough for all three points.
Miners have beaten Berwick Rangers (2-0) and Elgin City (1-4) in two exciting performances beforehand and seeing them regularly netting numbers of goals at this ground – despite a very unpredictable run that sees them lagging 23 points behind League Two pace-setters Edinburgh. This has us hopeful for another exciting occasion here which would still see the visitors sail through to the 5th Round.
We will now stick our necks out for Rangers to bag a win and a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at an eye-catching 11/5 with Betway. Gers have struggled to keep clean sheets and this feels like further evidence for such a bet on Wednesday evening.
With that in mind, we still expect the visitors to show their class and lift their team spirits, as we go for a high-scoring contest with Over 3.5 Goals FT at 5/6 with Coral. We’ve seen three or more goals in all of Rangers’ last three outings and we now hope for a show of force again.
