Chievo vs Roma Match Preview
Roma travel to Chievo with a troubled three-match winless streak behind them, where they earned two Serie A points and crashed out of Coppa Italia in a thrashing 7-1 loss at Fiorentina – now hoping to end the streak and challenge the top 4 once again.
Giallorossi have been denied all three points at Atalanta (3-3) despite taking a 0-3 lead in the first half and saw the streak extended in a 1-1 home draw against AC Milan, where they failed to capitalize on a very solid performance through most part of the match.
Chievo have failed to close the gap to 17th placed Empoli but still snatched a 2-2 draw at Carlo Castellani last week, which still sees them rock-bottomed as they bounced back from losses to Juventus (3-0) and Fiorentina (3-4) seen beforehand – where they struggled defensively.
Gialloblu have been a tougher side to beat in front of the home fans recently and the loss to Fiorentina was only the second in last six outings here, where they also held off big guns Lazio (1-1) and Inter (1-1) since early December. Domenico Di Carlo will hope his men can show off such a character once again and we do see it.
We will still back Roma to secure the points but they should have to outgun Chievo to do so, as we stick our necks out for an Away win & a Yes on Both teams to score at 23/10 with Betfred – which feels like more than a lively longshot at this point.
With that in mind, it’s easy to make a case for a high-scoring contest on Friday evening as we go for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 8/11 with FansBet. We have seen both sides scoring and conceding goals on the regular and this adds to such a belief.
