Chicago Fire vs Orlando City Match Preview
Orlando City’s dismal away form last year suggests Chicago Fire will kick off their 2019 home campaign with a victory at the newly-renamed SeatGeek Stadium.
The Florida club have lost every MLS match on their travels since they ended last April with a 2-1 success away to Colorado Rapids, although they did get through a couple of US Open Cup ties when having to hit the road.
An opening 2-2 draw at home to New York City last weekend was not a bad start to the new season for the Lions, but they were among the weakest MLS sides in 2018 and the bookmakers in particular are not forecasting a great deal of improvement this time around.
Chicago Fire began with a 2-1 defeat away to LA Galaxy as Zlatan Ibrahimovic predictably scored the winner, and the main aim for Veljko Paunovic’s team this time around will be to reach the play-offs having missed out last term.
This looks a good opportunity for the Men in Red to get an opening success on the board at the second time of asking and they are backed to do so quite comfortably.
