Chicago Fire vs Atlanta United Match Preview
Atlanta United have been in fine form since late May and we’ve seen them impress across competitions as they bagged five wins in six outings, with just a thriller 3-2 loss at Toronto interrupting the streak – as Frank de Boer’s men conceded a last-minute winner at BMO Field.
Five Stripes now travel to Chicago Fire for their mid-week clash hoping to build on such a streak, after beating Montreal Impact (2-1) and proving their worth in front of the home fans over the weekend again. They have struggled for such consistency on the road but still started scoring numbers of goals along the way, which should have them very confident in search of an upset now.
Chicago Fire have been far from impressive and this will give the visitors something to build on too, as they saw nothing but losses on the road in June and the unconvincing 1-1 draw against Real Salt Lake where an early opener hasn’t seen them dominant at this ground hardly feels like a great pick-me-up either.
Men in Red have been tougher to score against at SeatGeek Stadium and will hope they can base the contest here on such an approach once again, desperate for points to challenge the top 7 and finally bounce to the winning streak in front of the home crowd – where they saw four wins and three draws in last seven outings.
However, we don’t see them making it happen and we’ll now rather back Atlanta United to capitalize on their woes, keeping up their rock-solid streak of recent with any points here – as we go for a Double Chance – Draw or Away win at 22/25 with Unibet.
We do feel we’re in for goals and we’ll thus hope to see them on both ends, as we also back a Yes on Both teams to score at 8/13 with Ladbrokes. We haven’t really seen any of the sides enjoy a great spell at the back lately and this does feel like further evidence for such a bet.
