Charlton suffered a second successive defeat last weekend taking a 4-0 hammering at the John Smith’s Stadium to Huddersfield. The London outfit are down in 20th and are just one place and two points above the bottom three.

At the Valley, the Addicks have won two of their last three and lost just one of their last seven at home in the Championship. Five of their last seven and seven of their last ten in the league in front of their own fans have seen both teams find the back of the net.

Middlesbrough put a three-game winless run behind them on Monday night with a 2-2 home against Nottingham Forest at the Riverside. It does mean though that the winless run is now stretched to ten games and they sit 22nd one point behind Stoke in 21st.
