Charlton vs Huddersfield Match Preview
Charlton lost 1-0 away to Middlesbrough at the weekend and they can have few complaints in a game the Teesiders dominated. It continues their recent slump in form with a third successive defeat and stretches their winless run to nine.
At the Valley, the Addicks are three without a victory and have taken all three points from just one of their last five. Each of the last two and four of the last five played in front of their own fans have gone over the 2.5 goal mark.
Huddersfield also lost at the weekend going down 2-0 at home to their Yorkshire rivals Leeds who are flying high at the moment. It was a second successive defeat for Town and stretched their winless run to five games.
Away from the John Smith’s Stadium, the Terries last played on the 30th November going down a comprehensive 5-2 defeat at Bristol City. That made it back-to-back road defeats having taken seven points from the three prior to that.
Bookmakers are struggling to split the pair with the visitors marginal favourites and while Charlton have been poor of late so too have Huddersfield and neither side can be trusted. Both sides could be looking to keep things tight early after some tough results so backing the half-time draw looks good and a smaller interest on 0-0 in the half-time correct score market.
