Last chance saloon for Steven Gerrard and his Rangers team in their bid to lift the Scottish Premiership title. Celtic are 10-points clear of their rivals and a home win for Neill Lennon’s team will almost certainly see them secure an eighth consecutive title, barring complete capitulation!

Celtic vs Rangers Match Preview

Celtic can see off the slightest chance that Rangers can get back into the Scottish Premiership title race by beating their fierce rivals on Sunday.

Rangers have the incentive of reducing Celtic’s lead at the top of the table to seven points if they can win for the first time in 10 visits to the other side of Glasgow, but even then it would take a huge collapse for the crown to change hands.

Such is the Hoops’ outstanding home record in the league this term that it is difficult to see them failing to win this latest Old Firm clash. In 15 matches at Celtic Park, only Aberdeen in a 0-0 draw earlier this month have gone home undefeated.

The Gers, meanwhile, have not won any of their last four games, bowing out of the Scottish Cup against Aberdeen and being held to league draws by Hibernian and Kilmarnock. Steven Gerrard’s side still look to have wrapped up second place, however.

Although Celtic are not scoring as freely under Neil Lennon as they were for Brendan Rodgers, they remain rock-solid at the back and they are a perfectly backable price to win this game and essentially wrap up another title.
