Celtic vs Dunfermline Match Preview
Celtic have seen their three-match winning streak in front of the home crowd ended as Cluj denied them a spot in the Champions League Play-offs in a thriller 3-4 win at Celtic Park, where Neil Lennon’s men conceded two in the final ten minutes and saw their inconsistency at the back emphasized once again.
However, Bhoys have been tougher to get past at this ground beforehand and we’ve seen them keep clean sheets in wins over Nomme Kalju (5-0) and St Johnstone (7-0) since late July. It feels they have more firepower and the Championship rivals could have their hands full on the day as well.
Dunfermline haven’t really seen great confidence boosters lately and they come into the Saturday’s clash with two league draws seen in first two outings, where they shared the spoils with Dundee (2-2) at home ground and Queen of the South (1-1) on their only trip this term.
Pars haven’t really been too impressive on the road either and just one win in four trips hardly picks up their team spirits. They have struggled to cope with the Scottish dominants over the past decade and we now hope for more the same.early in 2019/2020 as well.
We will thus back Celtic to secure their ticket to the knockout stages with a confident win over the weekend, as we stick with a Home win to Nil as more of a banker bet at 4/7 with bet365 – which has been recognized as such by many in the know.
Celtic have been scoring goals, though, and should still be in for a one-sided contest. However, with a great disappointment now behind them, we hope to see Celtic off to a slower start on the day as we now also back a low-scoring contest with Under 3.5 Goals FT at 6/5 with William Hill.
