Celtic host Aberdeen for their Matchday 19 clash looking to build on a two-point gap at the top of the table after keeping hold of it with a 2-0 home win over Hibernian just days ago, where Jeremie Frimpong and Odsonne Edouard found the net to mark a return to the winning ways after a 2-0 loss at Cluj – where they already had a Group E top spot in the bag.

Bhoys have thus bagged 13 wins in 14 outings across competitions and we now expect them just as motivated to build on such performances. They’ve conceded just two goals in six outings at Celtic Park, which promises a very tough challenge for the visitors now as well – despite more troubles to keep it together at the back when away from home.

Aberdeen come into the match on the back of a 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical, where a single goal from Sam Cosgrove early in the second half made all the difference. They have struggled for such defensive setups, though, and this was their first clean sheet since early November.

Dons suffered just one loss since then and it came at Hibernian (3-0) two weeks ago, which has emphasized such unpredictability at the back once again. They sit 3rd and have an 11-point gap to pace-setters Celtic, who have two games in hand, and doing more to close it will be crucial despite possibly the toughest challenge on the road yet.

We feel Celtic will be too much to handle and we’ll now back the home side to secure the important points, going for them to win to Nil at 37/40 with BetVictor – which would be their fifth clean sheet in seven home outings since October.
