Celta Vigo vs Valencia Match Preview
Valencia travel to Vigo for their Matchday 2 clash on Saturday looking to bounce from what felt like a very disappointing 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad on the opening day of the campaign, where they conceded a last-gasp equalizer from the spot after an attacking display and many chances missed – including a penalty missed by Kevin Gameiro in the stoppage time.
Los Che have been scoring and conceding goals on the regular through their pre-season campaign as well, seeing a 2-1 loss to Brighton, a 1-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen and ending it with a loss on penalties to Inter Milan after a 1-1 draw. Marcelino will obviously want to regain consistency and snatching points in Vigo will be crucial.
Celta come into the match with a streak of three losses behind them, where they finished the pre-season with losses to Tenerife (0-1) and Lazio (1-2) and failed to bounce early in the La Liga campaign either. They’ve seen a 1-3 home loss to Real Madrid and doing more against Valencia will be crucial.
A late goal from Iker Losada proved nothing more than a consolation for Celticos on Matchday 1, but it has seen them keep up their goalscoring tally – which has been rather solid lately. We thus hope to see them in good shape moving forward and shutting them down will be no easy task.
We do feel Valencia have what it takes to overcome the challenge and we’re thus going for an Away win at 13/10 with Ladbrokes, which has caught the eye of many in the know already despite a tough challenge a trip to Balaidos always is.
We do hope to see goals and with that in mind, we’re now also backing Over 2.5 Goals FT at 10/11 with bet365. We have seen both sides enjoying such clashes and we now hope for another exciting head-to-head contest in the making.
