Celta Vigo vs Sevilla Match Preview
Sevilla travel to Vigo for their Matchday 22 clash on Saturday, just days after their Copa del Rey trip to Barcelona – where they look to build on a two-match winning streak as they beat Blaugrana (2-0 in the first leg) and Levante (5-0 over the course of the last week).
Sevillistas have seen their share of troubles beforehand but it feels Pablo Machin’s men rediscovered their confidence, having netted five goals in the win over Levante – as Wissam Ben Yedder, Andre Silva, Franco Vazquez, Pablo Sarabia, and Quincy Promes all found the net.
Celta have suffered five consecutive losses and the clash obviously comes at a bad time for them, after dropping into the relegation zone despite strong challenges along the way. Barcelona (2-0), Bilbao (1-2), Rayo Vallecano (4-2), Valencia (1-2), and Real Valladolid (2-1) all snatched the points and Miguel Cardoso surely has a lot on his mind.
Celticos have thus been scoring goals on the regular but struggled to make them count, which will be even more worrying as they face a side rediscovering their fine form up front. We thus hope for a thrilling clash at Abanca-Balaidos but we hope it means Sevilla can overcome their woes away from home.
We will thus back Sevilla to secure all three points in Vigo and we’ll go for an Away win at 21/20 with Unibet, which feels like a great value and has attracted many value seekers already.
Still, Celta will be no easy rivals to beat and we expect them very motivated to end the unwanted streak in front of the home fans. They’ve been scoring goals and we feel they’ll do the same now, as we also back a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 4/6 with Karamba.
