Celta Vigo vs Granada Match Preview
Celta Vigo host Granada for their Matchday 4 La Liga clash on Sunday afternoon, returning to the campaign after the International break in hope they can build on the solid performances we’ve seen before it. They’ve bagged four points in three games despite a very tough schedule and will now want to keep it up in September.
Celticos suffered a 1-3 loss to Real Madrid on the opening day of the campaign but bounced back quickly, beating Valencia (1-0) with a single goal from Gabriel Fernandez and held Sevilla to a 1-1 draw as Denis Suarez found the late equalizer in a very narrow occasion at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
Indeed, they’ve based their success on tough defensive displays but we don’t expect a similar occasion on the day, as Granada come into the match with some high-scoring displays of their own behind them. They’ve outclassed Espanyol (0-3) just before the break and will surely come very motivated on the day as well.
Nazaries have struggled for such consistency at the back, though, and this could be more worrying. They’ve seen a thriller 4-4 draw at Villarreal and suffered a home loss to Sevilla (0-1) beforehand, so it feels Diego Martinez will have to work on it if they’re to keep hold of a spot in the upper part of the table through the campaign.
We feel Celta Vigo now have what it takes to outgun the rivals and secure the important home points, building on great results we’ve seen early in the campaign and their four-point tally. We’re thus going for a Home win, which comes at 17/20 with William Hill and looks like great value.
However, we don’t see it coming easy and the rivals should have their say as well. With that in mind, we’re now also backing a Yes on Both teams to score at 17/20 with Unibet and hoping for a very exciting occasion at Balaidos.
