Cardiff vs Brentford Match Preview
Cardiff suffered a huge dent to their automatic promotion hopes going down to a second successive defeat as they lost 1-0 at home to Nottingham Forest. Just one point from their last three games means they have dropped to 11th six points behind Preston in sixth.
At the Cardiff City Stadium, the Bluebirds have drawn five of their last seven in the league with one victory and one defeat. Along with West Brom and Derby they have the shared lowest amount of home defeats with two.
Brentford also suffered a disappointing loss in midweek going down to struggling Luton at Kenilworth Road 2-1. The defeat comes on the back of three draws and means no victory in four sees them down in fifth nine points off Leeds in second.
Away from Griffin Park, the Bees have won just two of their last nine though they have failed to net in just three of their last 12 on the road. Ollie Watkins enjoys life on his travels netting four from his last five away games.
The hosts were beaten in midweek against Nottingham Forest but given that was just their second loss at home all season and they are 31/20 here in the draw no bet market then they look a great bet especially against a side with just two wins in nine on the road.
Josh Murphy was poor in midweek but the Cardiff winger is that kind of player who can be off one game and right at it the next. He is the kind of player who always works hard though and at these odds and with an added hunger to prove himself is tipped to score at any time here.
