Two of the form teams in Serie A have to wait until Monday night but they face each other in the final game of the weekend in what should be a cracker. Cagliari come here unbeaten in their last 13 while Lazio come here on the back of seven straight wins, including a comprehensive victory over Juventus last weekend. Both will not want to lose their runs, and both are playing well enough to feel that they can get something from this one.
While it may have been expected for Lazio to be up in and around the European places, to see them playing so well is a little bit of a surprise. It is even more of a surprise to see Cagliari dominating things like they are now, and while they are not on the same winning run as Lazio, they are picking up points when they play and that has put them in the European spots.
With both teams playing so well, this is not the easiest game to solve. While Lazio’s performance against Juventus last week was hugely impressive and eye-catching, Cagliari have been almost as good as them for a number of weeks now. While it may be a stretch for Cagliari to actually win this game and take all three points, we don’t think its too much of an ask for them to take a point here and that is what we are backing.
