Cagliari vs Inter Milan Match Preview
Inter Milan have been shaken up with the Icardi crisis but they’ve only seen a four-match winning streak across competitions ended by Fiorentina (3-3) last week, where Jordan Veretout netted a last-gasp penalty-kick equalizer. They now travel to Cagliari looking to bounce back and hold off chasers AC Milan and Roma as Luciano Spalletti’s men sit 3rd on the league table.
Nerazzurri outclassed Rapid Wien in Europa League (5-0 on aggregate) beforehand but we’ve also seen them struggling for such confident displays in Serie A, narrowly turning clashes against Parma and Sampdoria their way with late goals from Lautaro Martinez and Radja Nainggolan, respectively.
Their goalscoring troubles on the road have been just as obvious and without Icardi and Keita, these could be even more emphasized as Cagliari look to cause another upset at Sardegna Arena on many occasions this term already – shutting down sides such as Roma (2-2), Torino (0-0), Milan (1-1), and Sampdoria (0-0).
Rossoblu have seen four losses in their last five outings and only beat Parma (2-1) to interrupt such a streak, which will be far more worrying for Rolando Maran and gives out a feeling his men have a lot to prove as they hover six points clear of the relegation zone after 25 games played.
However, we do feel they have what it takes to show off such ambitions once again on the day and we’ll now back them to hold off the troubled rivals, as we stick with a Double Chance – Home win or Draw at 11/10 with bet365.
We have seen them regularly enjoying narrow contests at home ground and with Inter’s struggles to convert on the road, we feel they’ll have to do so once again if they’re to secure any points. With that in mind, we’re now also going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 4/5 with William Hill.
