Cagliari vs Atalanta Match Preview
Atalanta have finished 2018 on a high in a thriller 2-6 win over Sassuolo, where Josip Ilicic netted a hat-trick in the final 20 minutes and made it a very convincing display at MAPEI Stadium. They now travel to Cagliari hoping for a similar upset and a ticket to the Coppa Italia Quarter-finals.
La Dea have been scoring numbers of goals away from home on the regular, which should have them just as confident in search of such a performance once again. They could need all they can get and we thus hope for a thrilling contest at Sardegna Arena.
Cagliari have indeed proven themselves as a tough side to beat at home ground but they’ve struggled for similar pick-me-ups lately, earning just one win in their last four outings and seeing three losses along the way – where Napoli (0-1), Lazio (3-1), and Udinese (2-0) all earned the points.
Rossoblu have only beaten Genoa (1-0) in the process and we find it hardly a great boost to their confidence amid such a streak, which saw them drop to 13th spot after 19 games played in Serie A. They have beaten Atalanta (0-1) earlier this term and will have a lot to build on, with a lot to prove just yet.
We will now back Atalanta to turn this one their way and take revenge for the September’s loss in front of the home fans, with a win which would see them through to the next round and comes at 19/20 with Betfair.
However, they have been conceding numbers of goals on the regular too and with that in mind, we’ll also go for a Yes on Both teams to score, which comes at 4/6 with William Hill and has also seen many big hitters lumping already.
