Manchester City travel to Burton for the return match of their League Cup clash with a spot in the Final all but secured after a thrashing 9-0 win in front of the home fans, where Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Philip Foden, Kyle Walker, and Riyad Mahrez all found the net.

Citizens have since beaten Wolves (3-0) and Huddersfield (0-3) in two convincing displays, which extended their six-match winning streak and sees them keeping up with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table. Pep Guardiola will want to build on such consistency and it’s tough seeing it any other way.

However, Burton Albion will have plans of their own in an attempt to show more of their character, despite a troubled day at Etihad and just one point earned in their last two League One outings – where Gillingham (2-3) beat them with a last-minute winner and only a last-minute equalizer from John Brayford saved a point at Doncaster.

Brewers have been scoring more goals and we do hope for more of a challenge on the day, despite no high hopes they can deny the visitors their seventh win in a row. A more solid display against City would surely be a boost to their confidence and we still expect the home side motivated on the day.

We will now back Manchester City to punch their ticket to the Final with a win at Pirelli Stadium but we don’t see it coming without an impact from Burton this time around, as we go for an Away win & Both teams to score at 13/10 with Betway.
