Burton vs Bolton Match Preview
Bolton haven’t been able to end their winless streak but travel to Burton-upon-Trent for their Matchday 13 clash on Tuesday evening looking to build on two solid defensive displays which earned them two points, where Keith Hill’s men held off Accrington and Wimbledon over the past two weeks.
Wanderers will hope to build on such performances in search of an upset but hardly have a lot for shows in the final third. Indeed, they bagged just one goal in their last five outings – where they also saw losses to Wycombe (0-2), MK Dons (1-0), and Blackpool (2-1) – and making it happen at Pirelli Stadium will be no easy task.
Burton come into the match just days after seeing a 3-2 loss at Lincoln, where they took the lead twice but goals from Joe Powell haven’t proven enough. Defensive woes on the road proved costly once again but Nigel Clough has set up a tougher side to beat in front of the home fans.
Indeed, Brewers haven’t seen a League One loss here since early December and they bagged two wins and four draws in the last six games. They held off Gillingham (0-0), Oxford (2-2) and Peterborough (1-0) since early February and will now surely hope they’re not in for the same sort of a challenge on the day.
We do feel they have what it takes to secure all three points this time around and while we expect a very narrow contest, we’ll stick our necks out for Burton to win to Nil at 31/20 with BetVictor – which does feel like value at this point.
Still, we can hardly expect a very one-sided game and with that in mind, we’re hoping for few goals once again. We’ll thus go for a contrasting contest to what we’ve seen between the sides earlier this term and we’ll back Under 2.5 Goals FT at 9/10 with William Hill.
