Tottenham have struggled and travel to Burnley with a four-match losing streak behind them, including a disappointing FA Cup exit in the hands of Norwich (on penalties after a 1-1 draw) earlier this week. They now travel to Burnley looking to end the unwanted streak and reignite their top 4 chase, as they still sit just five points behind Chelsea.
Spurs suffered narrow losses to Chelsea (2-1) and Wolves (2-3) in their last two Premier League outings and saw RB Leipzig (0-1) snatch a one-goal advantage in the first leg of their Champions League clash. They will want to get a pick-me-up ahead of the return but the busy schedule could mean sacrifices need to be taken.
Burnley have been a tough nut lately and while they saw an FA Cup exit in the hands of Norwich (1-2) as well, they managed a four-match unbeaten streak since then and kept clean sheets on three of those occasions. They’ll now surely want to capitalize on the visitors’ woes and we feel they can.
Clarets held off Arsenal (0-0) and beat Bournemouth (3-0) in their last two outings at this ground, while also beating Southampton (1-2) and snatching a point at Newcastle (0-0) along the way. Sean Dyche’s men sit just two points behind 7th placed Tottenham and this should be enough to have them very motivated to jump the rivals now already.
We will now stick our necks out for Burnley to hold off Tottenham and back a Draw at 9/4 with bet365, which looks like more than just a lively longshot at this point. We should be in for a very narrow contest in Burnley and we hope to see a deadlock very tough to break.
