Burnley vs Manchester City Fansbet Preview
The reigning champions went back to the top of the table following victory over their Manchester rivals at Old Trafford (prior to Liverpool facing Huddersfield on Friday night).
That means a win in each of their last three games will guarantee them top spot, starting with this trip to Turf Moor. Nine points from three matches is a tough task for most teams but given the Citizens have won 11 straight Premier League outings, they’ll be confident in backing themselves.

Burnley vs Manchester City Match Preview
Burnley have endured a difficult season after the elation of reaching the Europa League via their seventh-placed finish in the Premier League last year. Many pundits predicted that the Lancastrian side would struggle to compete in the two competitions with their limited resources to improve the squad but instead the Clarets were out of the competition before the group stages – but have still struggled in the Premier League.
After looking like potential relegation candidates for the majority of the campaign and even occupying a bottom three spot for quite some time, the Clarets have improved in the latter stages of the season and even come into this weekend’s on the back of a run of form that has seen them pick up ten points from the last available 12 and having earned an impressive away point at Chelsea last time out. The home win is 22/1 with Bet365.
Manchester City are still fighting for a domestic treble of trophies after being knocked out of the Champions League by Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month. The Citizens are locked in one of the most pulsating races for the Premier League trophy that there has ever been, with the midweek Manchester derby win over rivals United leaving them one point clear of challengers Liverpool going into these three final games of the season.
After slipping up with a couple of unexpected defeats against the likes of Leicester City and Crystal Palace around the turn of the year, Pep Guardiola’s men have gone from strength to strength in the latter stages of the Premier League season, racking up an incredible 11 straight wins to not allow Liverpool to get away from them at the top of the table but they will probably have to win their final three fixtures to complete the job – they’re 1/7 to win this one with William Hill.
We think the City backline will come out on top here. Burnley may have carried a threat going forward of late, but they’ve failed to score in Premier League and FA Cup defeats against the Citizens so far this season and with Aymeric Laporte and the rest of the table-toppers looking strong defensively at the minute they have kept eight clean sheets in their last ten league games, winning all eight of those games. The away win to nil is available at 3/4 with William Hill.
Bernardo Silva has enjoyed a terrific week. The Portuguese star was named in the Premier League PFA Team of the Year and got on the scoresheet for Manchester City again in their 0-2 away win over cross-town rivals Manchester United. The 24 year old now has 14 goals to his names in all competitions so far this season and we’re backing him to put the Burnley backline to the sword with another goal here at PaddyPower.
