Burnley vs Crystal Palace Match Preview
Burnley’s home record against all bar the top Premier League clubs has been imperious this season and they are backed for another victory when Crystal Palace visit on Saturday.
Although Liverpool and Chelsea both won decisively at Turf Moor, the Clarets have taken maximum points from the other four games on their own pitch by an excellent 9-0 aggregate.
Not only that, but Sean Dyche’s side are up to seventh in the table after a 3-0 triumph at Watford last weekend and back to the superb form of 2017-18 when they finished the season in their current position – earning a crack at European football, which derailed them somewhat last term.
Crystal Palace possess a strong recent head-to-head record against Burnley (see above) but have made little impact in a very tough run of fixtures since the October international break, collecting only one point from a possible 15 against five of the top eight clubs.
The Eagles will be relieved that spell is over and despite those four defeats, they did not concede more than two goals in any game to reinforce the belief that they are better at keeping goals out than scoring them.
Wilfried Zaha finally opened his goalscoring account for the campaign against Liverpool last week at the 14th attempt, but Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood are finding the net with much more regularity for Burnley – and Sean Dyche’s men are expected to bag another win here.
