Bulgaria vs Montenegro Match Preview
Montenegro have struggled late in their UEFA Nations League campaign and they’ve only secured a League C status for a better total than Cyprus in Group 3 and Albania Group 1. They travel to Bulgaria hoping to show more but Ljubisa Tumbakovic’s men should be in for a tough challenge.
Brave Falcons have seen losses to Serbia (0-2 and 2-1) as well as Romania (0-1) in their last four outings since October, only beating Lithuania (1-4) along the way – where Stefan Mugosa (x2), Boris Kopitovic I, and Darko Zoric all made it on the scoresheet.
Bulgaria will now hope to capitalize on the rivals’ woes and kick-start their campaign in good spirits in front of the home fans, where they haven’t suffered a loss in exactly a year – where Bosnia-Herzegovina snatched a 0-1 win at Ludogorets Arena. They’ve been tough at the back and now have a lot to prove once again.
Lions have been denied by Cyrpus (1-1) and Slovenia (1-1) in their last two Nations League outings and it feels Petar Hubchev has work to do. However, kicking it off in Sofia will be a great chance to lift their team spirits and we feel they should have enough to bag all three points on the day.
We will thus back Bulgaria to an important Home win early in the Qualifiers, which comes at 6/5 with William Hill and has caught the eye of many in the know already seeing their displays in front of their crowd lately.
However, they should be forced into a narrow contest by the visitors and we expect the home side to base such a success on a tough defensive display before anything else, as we also go for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 8/15 with bet365 – which feels like more of a banker bet.
