Brisbane Roar beat Western Sydney Wanderers (3-1) and Central Coast Mariners (1-0) over the past two outings and they host Newcastle Jets for their Matchday 27 clash on Friday as the series of home outings behind closed doors continues. They will hope to build on the performances and we still expect them in a great mood, promising a strong challenge.

Roar have seen a more unpredictable run on the road but still managed 14 points in last six outings at Cbus Super Stadium, beating Wellington Phoenix (1-0) and Adelaide United (2-1) earlier in 2020 while holding off Melbourne City (2-2) and Perth Glory (1-1) along the way.

Newcastle Jets, on the other hand, sit 9th with 21 points to their name after 20 games.
