Brighton vs Bournemouth Match Preview
Bournemouth have seen a tough schedule and they struggled to cope with it and they travel to Falmer for their Matchday 20 clash just days after their Boxing Day clash against Arsenal, where they look to escape the immediate danger zone and will certainly look forward to a more lenient schedule to follow.
Cherries have seen six losses in their last seven outings as Newcastle (2-1), Wolves (1-2), Tottenham (3-2), Crystal Palace (1-0), and Burnley (0-1) all narrowly snatched the points, while Liverpool (0-3) did so with more confidence and Eddie Howe’s men managed to interrupt the unwanted streak with a 0-1 win at Chelsea two weeks ago.
Brighton will certainly hope they can add to the rivals’ woes of recent and capitalize on Saturday. It’s fair to say they have a lot to prove and the clash comes just days after their Boxing Day clash at Tottenham, where they look for a quick fix after seeing Sheffield United (0-1) bag all three points in a disappointing display lacking cohesion, passing, and meaningful chances.
Seagulls have thus only seen a three-match unbeaten streak ended, though, and we’ve seen Graham Potter set up a tough side to beat. They snatched all three points at Freddie Ljungberg’s Arsenal early in December and built on the display with a 2-2 draw against Wolves and a rather dominant performance in a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace since.
They’ll now surely want more of the same and we feel they will be able to take more control over the game now, as we now stick with Brighton to secure all three points in a Home win priced at 5/6 with William Hill.
We do expect an exciting occasion and with both sides’ records of recent, a Yes on Both teams to score at 4/5 with bet365 seems like a solid approach too. We’ve seen goals on both ends in four of Brighton’s last five outings and making the best of such troubles at the back will be crucial for the visitors now.
