Brighton vs Arsenal Match Preview
Arsenal beat West Ham (1-0) with a single goal from Alexandre Lacazette last week and earned their fifth win in six outings across competitions, proving themselves very tough at the back and building on FA Cup success at Portsmouth (0-2) seen earlier in the week. They’ll now want more of the same and we expect them motivated to impress at the American Express Community Stadium.
Gunners have seen a single loss in their last 13 outings cost them a ticket to Europa League 8th Finals, which Olympiakos Piraeus snatched with a 1-2 win at Emirates. However, Mikel Arteta has a lot of ground to build on and closing the eight-point gap to the top 4 will be a crucial task.
Brighton, on the other hand, sit just two points clear of the relegation zone after failing to bag a win since late December. They have proven themselves a tough side to outclass lately but have little to show for it, with just four points earned in their last five outings – where only Crystal Palace (0-1) snatched all three.
Seagulls held off West Ham (3-3), Watford (1-1), Sheffield United (1-1), and Wolves (0-0) along the way but Graham Potter and his men will need more. They have a very tough schedule to follow, though, and making it happen in games against Arsenal, Leicester, man United, Liverpool, and Man City over the next 45 days will be a very tough task indeed.
We feel Arsenal will have what it takes to build on their fine streak of recent and we’ll now back the visitors to snatch all three points, where an Away win comes at 6/5 with William Hill and has caught the eye of many in the know already.
We should be in for a very narrow contest and with hope Gunners can turn this one their way by a slim margin too, we’ll also go for few goals. We’re backing Under 2.5 Goals FT, which comes at Evens with BetVictor and looks like a good approach as well.
