Brentford vs Swansea Match Preview
Brentford picked up a useful point on the road at the weekend drawing 1-1 with high-flying with West Brom at the Hawthorns. The London side are unbeaten in three league games and have lost just one of the last five.
At Griffin Park, the Bees were last in action on December 14th when they played at home to Fulham and won the game 1-0. It is four straight victories at home for Thomas Frank and his side netting 11 times and conceding just once.
Swansea moved themselves level on points with their opponents here with a well deserved 1-0 victory at Luton on Saturday. It means the Welsh side have now won back-to-back matches and are three without a defeat.
Away from the Liberty Stadium, the Swans face a tricky looking run with three of their next four against teams in the current top ten. It is just one road defeat all season for Steve Cooper and his team which came at the Hawthorns.
Bookmakers are strong on Brentford and while we respect the Bees at these odds you have to take a play on the visitors and the draw in the double chance market. It is true the London side won 3-0 in Wales earlier in the season but these teams have an identical 37 points from their opening 23 matches and as such we don’t think the gap between the two in the market should be so high.
Andre Ayew did the business for us at the weekend and the Ghanian tends to score in streaks and with four in his last three looks great value here but an even better option is Connor Roberts. The player goes off an incredibly high price which suggests he has no chance of scoring but his expected goals data from the weekend indicates a player unlucky not to score.
