Brentford vs Huddersfield Match Preview
Brentford continued their recent up turn in fortune with a third successive league victory as they beat QPR 3-1 on Monday night. It is now just one defeat in seven for the London side who have climbed into 12th on 21 points.
At Griffin Park, the Bees have lost just once but have also drawn three times meaning they have just two victories here. The six matches that they have played here have produced a total of 13 goals with eight of them for the home team.
Huddersfield stretched their unbeaten record to six with their third victory in the last five last weekend seeing off Barnsley 2-1. Karlan Ahearne-Grant was among the scorers and he has netted eight times in 14 starts this season.
Away from the John Smith’s Stadium, the Terriers have struggled with just one victory from six this season though they have taken four points from their last two. Four of their last five on the road have seen both teams score and gone over 2.5 goals.
The road side are playing well under the Cowley brothers but they are set to run in to a Brentford side firing at the moment and it is hard to see past a home victory though the prices on offer reflect that. A better way into the fixture is to look at the goalscorer markets and a couple of anytime plays. For the hosts, Said Benrahma was excellent on Monday night and the Algerian is taken to net here. While we have already talked about the goalscoring record of Karlan Ahearne-Grant and he will fancy his chances against a Bees defence that do concede goals.
