Brentford v Aston Villa Match Preview
Brentford will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss at Nottingham Forest at the weekend. They will need little motivation as they welcome back former boss Dean Smith who left them for Villa earlier in the season.
At Griffin Park, the Middlesex outfit have won three and drawn one of their last four which includes victories over Blackburn and Stoke and a draw at Norwich. Said Benrahma and Ollie Watkins have two in their last two at home.
Aston Villa looked to be headed for defeat at home to Sheffield United but three goals in the last eight minutes rescued an unlikely point. They are still only tenth and six points off the play-offs but that could be the turning point they needed.
Away from Villa Park, the Midlands side are without a win in three but have lost just one of their last seven in the league. Both teams to score is not a common feature of their road trips with it happening in just two of their last eight.
Brentford are favourites to win this game and given their recent home form it is hard to argue with the prices. It looks a tricky match with Dean Smith returning to his old club and as such I would look elsewhere for the value.
The goals market seems the obvious place to go but bookmakers are wise to this so you might need to be a little creative. Both teams to net in the second-half appeals as does that being the half that has most goals.
