Bradford vs Luton Match Preview
Bradford ended five game winless run with an impressive 3-1 home victory over Peterborough at the weekend. It marked the first game in charge for Gary Bowyer (previously at Blackpool) and he inherits a team in 23rd and now four points from 20th and safety.
At the Northern Commercials Stadium, the Bantams are tough to beat having won six of their last nine and lost just two of these. Eoin Doyle does his best work at home netting in five of the last eight in front of his own fans.
Luton drew their second of their last three with a goalless draw away at Plymouth that allowed the chasing pack some hope. They still sit top of the table but Barnsley have cut the gap to three while Sunderland are seven behind with a game in hand.
Away from Kenilworth Road, the Hatters are unbeaten in their last 11 in the league winning three of the last four. Matthew Pearson has two in his last four on the road while Jamie Collins has three in five.
Luton are strong favourites to win this fixture and at first glance given the gap between the sides you can see why. They did though only draw at Plymouth last time out and Bradford looked good in beating Peterborough so I would avoid the match markets and look elsewhere for the value.
I want to get with Bradford yet respect Luton too much to take them on so backing the Yorkshire outfit to go over 1.5 team goals makes sense. Luton might also go over that mark themselves but that is no longer a concern with this bet. If the Bantams do score Eoin Doyle is the main man with five in his last eight at home and he is worth an anytime bet.
