Borussia Dortmund vs VfB Stuttgart Match Preview

After being knocked out of Europe, Borussia Dortmund can focus exclusively on trying to capture the Bundesliga title and are expected to return to winning form against Stuttgart.

Dortmund have led the German league all season and mostly with a healthy advantage, but they have now been caught on 54 points by six-time consecutive champions Bayern Munich having won only once in their last eight matches in all competitions.

The latest of those was a 1-0 defeat at home to Tottenham on Tuesday which sealed BVB’s exit from the Champions League with a 4-0 aggregate loss.

Also out of the DFB-Pokal, unlike Bayern who are still fighting on three fronts, Lucien Favre’s side know they have 10 matches left this term to try and capture the trophy they have been eyeing all campaign.

The main recent positive for the Black and Yellows is that they have kept scoring lots of goals at home in their domestic fixtures, so that will offer comfort going into this match against a Stuttgart team trying to climb out of relegation danger.
