Borussia Dortmund saw a thrashing 5-0 loss at Bayern Munich in early April and have been chasing the Bundesliga pace-setters since then, bagging two wins in their last two outings and still sitting just a point behind – with four games left to be played.

BVB have beaten Mainz (2-1) in a narrow return to the winning ways and outclassed Freiburg (0-4) in a more convincing display at Schwarzwald-Stadion, where Sancho, Reus, Gotze, and Paco Alcacer all found the net. They will now want to keep it up and challenge Bayern once again, which promises them in a great mood.

Schalke sit on the other end of the table but they’ve escaped the immediate danger zone, sitting six points clear of 16th placed Stuttgart as they travel to Signal Iduna Park. They’ve seen troubles across competitions, though, and now need a pick-me-up but earning it in Dortmund will be no easy task.
