Borussia Dortmund are looking to break Bayern Munich’s stronghold on the Bundesliga trophy this season. Die Roten have won the last six consecutive league titles over in Germany but BVB are currently looking heavy favourites to finish top of the tree this time around as with 14 games remaining, they have amassed a seven point lead over second-placed Bayern as things stand and they’re also through to the knock-out stages of the Champions League, where they’ll face Tottenham Hotspur next week.

After being knocked out of the DFB Pokal on penalties by Werder Bremen in midweek, Lucien Favre and his side can turn their attentions to the two more illustrious competitions now and in particular the league, where they have remained unbeaten in front of their own fans so far this season, winning nine and drawing one of their ten Bundesliga fixtures at the Westfalenstadion. As such it’s no surprise that they’re odds on for another three points here at 8/11 with Betfair.

Hoffenheim have delighted neutrals across Europe so far this season in both the Champions League and the Bundesliga. After a lofty finish last year saw them qualify for Europe’s top table, TSG managed to produce some stunning displays and high-scoring matches but eventually bowed out after finishing below Lyon and Manchester City in the group stages, but they’ve continued to entertain on the domestic stage despite sitting firmly in midtable in 8th place.

Recent form has been typically unpredictable and Die Kraichgauer have drawn no fewer than seven of their last nine league matches, with their only win in that run coming away from home against Freiburg. With the amount of attacking quality they have in their ranks, Julian Nagelsmann’s side always have the ability to cause problems but defensively they still leave a lot to be desired, hence why they’re still out at 7/2 to win here with PaddyPower.

Both teams have found the net in Hoffenheim’s last seven games and despite sitting top of the table, Dortmund don’t actually keep that many clean sheets, having conceded at least once in six of their last seven Bundesliga outings. Marco Reus has been the main goalscoring threat for Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks. The talismanic forward has scored in his last four competitive outings for the club, taking his tally for the season to 17 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions.
