Bordeaux vs PSG Match Preview
PSG have seen a disappointing result despite quite a dominant display on Wednesday, suffering a 0-2 home loss to Reims and seeing their five-match winning streak across competitions ended. Thomas Tuchel’s men now travel to Bordeaux and surely hope to bounce back quickly, despite great injury woes and six played sidelined for the trip.
Parisians have been rock-solid defensively beforehand and this could be even more disappointing at this point, as they kept clean sheets against Toulouse (4-0), Metz (0-2), Strasbourg (1-0), Real Madrid (3-0), and Lyon (0-1). Neymar saved them twice in September already and it does feel like they’re desperate for a pick-me-up.
Bordeaux haven’t seen a loss since the opening day of the campaign and their trip to Angers (3-1), connecting a six-match unbeaten streak since then despite struggled for consistency seen along the way. Indeed, they’re yet to connect any two same results and Paulo Sousa will know how important it can get in their chase for the top part of the table.
Girondins have thus earned three draws and three wins in their last six outings, including a 1-3 win at Amiens midway through the week where they fell behind very early in the game but still completed a comeback with goals from Yacine Adli (x2) and Samuel Kalu. They will now hope to build on the result but PSG obviously come as far more of a challenge.
We will still stick our necks out for Bordeaux to hold off the Parisians and we’ll go for an enticing Double Chance – Home win or Draw at 11/4 with Paddy Power. We’ve seen them as a tough nut to crack and we feel they can capitalize on the shaken atmosphere on the rivals’ end.
We still feel they’ll have to cope in the final third if they’re to secure any points, which has us going for a Yes on Both teams to score at 5/6 with 22bet. PSG have seen troubles at the back on Wednesday and this looks like further evidence for such an approach.
