Bordeaux kept out of the danger zone in Ligue 1 mainly for their performances in front of the home fans but losses at St Etienne (3-0) and Nimes (2-1) still comes as a great disappointment for Paulo Sousa’s men – especially after taking the lead early at Stade des Costieres last week.

Les Girondins now host Lyon looking for a quick fix and would surely rather build on a 2-0 win over Marseille seen at this ground beforehand, having proven themselves a very tough side to score against on many occasions here.

Lyon have more to play for and travel to Stade Matmut-Atlantique just points clear of the chasers as they look to close the six-point gap to 2nd placed Lille.
