Bolton vs West Brom Match Preview

West Brom travel to Bolton for their Matchday 28 clash on Monday looking to take revenge for a 1-2 home loss suffered to the rivals earlier this term, where Yannick Wildschut netted a very late winner at the Hawthorns, and challenge Sheffield United for their top 2 spot.

Baggies have beaten Wigan (1-0) in FA Cup and held Norwich to an exciting draw (1-1) in front of the home fans over the past two weeks, which has us hoping to see them in top shape at Macron Stadium – as Darren Moore’s men look for their fifth win in six trips since late November.

Bolton sit on the other end of the table and three points behind 21st Rotherham United, desperate for points to escape the relegation zone. They’ve earned just one point (in a goalless draw against Stoke) in their last three league outings and although the 5-2 win over Walsall in FA Cup should be a confidence booster, it’s questionable whether it’s enough.

Especially so as Wanderers come into the match after another disappointing trip, where Bristol City completed a comeback in a 2-1 win with quick goals from Matt Taylor and Kasey Palmer. Phil Parkinson will now want more but getting it against West Brom should prove a tough task.

We feel West Brom are now set to extend the rivals’ woes and we’ll stick with them to bag all three points, as we go for an Away win at 4/5 with Ladbrokes. Bolton have been picking it up here lately but we don’t see them shutting down the visitors now.

However, we should be in for an exciting contest with goals on both ends and this has us going for Over 2.5 Goals FT at 19/20 with Unibet, which seems a great approach to the fixture itself – as both sides regularly score and concede goals lately.
