Bolivia vs Venezuela Match Preview
Venezuela have earned two points in two tough clashes as they held off Peru (0-0) and Brazil (0-0) and they now meet Group A outsiders Bolivia hoping to challenge the top 2 with points at Estadio Governador Magalhaes Pinto – in need of a comfortable win to secure it.
La Vinotinto have proven themselves a tough side defensively and suffered just one loss in five June outings (3-1 to Mexico) with a win over USA (0-3) and a 1-1 draw against Ecuador also on the records. Rafael Dudamel shouldn’t have a tough task to lift their team spirits and we thus expect them in great shape on Saturday.
Bolivia have known troubles on the road and it was really nothing strange to see them suffer five consecutive losses since March, as they fell victims to Korea Republic (1-0), Japan (1-0), and France (2-0) ahead of the tournament as well as Brazil (3-0) and Peru (1-3) in two outings here.
La Verde have been all over the place defensively and conceded six goals in their first two games, which will have Venezuela hoping for more of the same. They’ve struggled to score goals too, as Marcelo Martins’ opener against Peru was their only first in those five outings, which makes it hard to believe in an upset on their behalf.
We will thus back Venezuela to secure all three points and we feel they’ll do so with confidence although Bolivia will not want to pack their bags without a bang, as we go for them to win to Nil at 27/20 with Ladbrokes in a narrow occasion looming.
We don’t feel we’re in for a very one-sided game, though, and with that in mind – we’re now also going for Under 2.5 Goals FT at 10/11 with bet365, which will have Venezuela still hoping to see a winner between Brazil and Peru on the day.
