Bohemians vs Finn Harps Match Preview
Bohemians beat Cork City (2-0) in League Cup on Monday and now host rock-bottomed Finn Harps for their Matchday 19 clash looking to build on the performance, where Ross Tierney opened the scoresheet and Daniel Mandroiu made it convincing with a late penalty kick.
Bohs have thus ended a streak of five outings without a win, where they suffered four losses and earned just a single point along the way as they held off St Patrick’s Athletic (1-1). They’ve struggled defensively and saw losses to Dundalk (2-1) and Sligo Rovers (1-2) since mid-May, which could be more worrying.
Finn Harps, on the other hand, come into the match on the back of a three-match losing streak, where Shamrock Rovers (0-3) and Derry City (4-0) outclassed them in Premier Division and Candystripes bagged a narrow League Cup win (completing a 2-1 comeback with goals late in regular time and early in the extra-time).
Ollie Horgan’s men sit huge 12 points behind the safe zone and 8th placed Cork City, as they bagged just ten points in 19 games so far and have a goal difference of -24. They’ve struggled to produce on the road and we feel building on such a tally will be a tough task now as well.
We will thus back Bohemians to connect their second win this term and do so without conceding, as we go for a Home win to Nil at 11/10 with bet365. Finn Harps have struggled to find the net against the big guns and Bohs will hope they can show off as such on the day.
However, we hope not to see many goals from them either and we’ll now back a low-scoring contest on Friday with Under 2.5 Goals FT at Evens with bet365. We rarely see Bohemians scoring many goals and we thus hope for a narrow yet one-sided contest this time around.
